Rhonda Baker Benton is a 50 Yr. Old Disabled/Single Mom of an 11 Year Old Son who's last day
of School Is Next Thursday... Here is her story.
My Son and I Moved in with my Mom Last
March, Just around the Corner from where Our Rented House is. Mom was
diagnosed with 4th Stage Lung Cancer and oh how we struggled and begged
and pleaded for Nutritious Food, Nutritional Drinks, and Just Food Gift
Cards. We lost my Mom in December and Buried her on Christmas Eve. So,
Now it's back to just me and my son. I CAN"T get ANY Food Assistance
because of a $3.00 "Over the Limit" on Lawrence County's Guideline for
Food Stamps.
After Mom's Passing, It's been me and ONLY me that has been
left here to pack it up and try my best to get it into our rented
House. It's so hard for me sometime well, every time I'm over there,
there is always a shirt, shoe, just something that brings me down and I
just sir and cry my eyes out and have to come home. My Ohio Brother and
Dad wants a TV, Bed, and had the nerve to ask for the rest of the canned
foods we had? I could go on and on, but my MAIN CONCERN is My Son when
School is out. I'm so thankful for the FREE Breakfast and Lunches he
receives at School. We have 1 Pantry here that 99% of the Churches
DONATE to, but they have an Ad in the Sunday & Wednesday Advocate
Paper "WANTING, ASKING AND NEEDING" DONATIONS?? 4-, ,5 cans of food
just don't get it and the Main things, the Pantry don't offer; MILK,
BREAD, EGGS, BUTTER, FLOUR, MEAL, MEAT AND TOILETRIES; WASHING POWDERS,
DISHWASHING LIQUID, TOOTHPASTE, SOAP, FEMININE PRODUCTS, ETC.
IF ONE
OF YOU COULD RE-POST THIS ON YOUR TIMELINE/WALL, WE NEVER KNOW. I'm so
worried. We have less that a 1/2 gallon of milk til next Wednesday and
I'm scared to death. We have no one! Austin's dad in Ohio thinks his
child support should be all that he should do? We have a Walmart,
Kroger, Sav-A-Lot, and a Superama..I will send you the receipts if
necessary. PLEASE, help my Son and I...a $1.00 here and a $1.00 there
can add up...I begged and pleaded for my Mom's stuff and it was not
successful at all, but we made it as best as we could. Just asking for
ANY help. Food Gift Cards would be wonderful. We have maybe a 1/2 gallon
of milk to TRY and last us til next Wednesday?
I'm just Praying that
Ya'all would Post this onto your Timeline/Wall for me and thats a good
start?? There are so many generous and Godly people out there, just
ANYTHING...
