Childhood Leukemia, please pray.
Please keep this girl in your thoughts and prayers, your positive well wishes. This is an old picture, since my boy is 10 now. The girl is the daughter of the associate pastor of the church I am a member of. She was JUST diagnosed with childhood leukemia.
Her name reminds me of a song, and she is the eldest of three kids. She is a young teen, and her brother is 9, her sister is 6. While a stem cell implant would be best, the next best thing would be a bone marrow transplant. Her best bet right now is from her younger siblings, which is a difficult decision/procedure to go through. This precious girl is half Caucasian, and half Tanzanian. Both of her parents are stellar people, and I want the best for her.
Please send your warm wishes, prayers, good karma, positive thoughts, etc... If you haven't already, please set up an appointment with your local blood center to donate blood, you can save up to 3 people with 1 donation of whole blood, and then sign up to be a bone marrow donor. They won't take any until a match is found that is in need. Please see The Blood Center or The Red Cross nearest you, for more information, and see if you qualify. You help yourself too, because in healthy people, your bones make fresh blood which helps keep your system clean.
Thank you for your support!
