Why We Still Need April's Law!

I know I'm on this a lot, and it's important that I keep reminding people why. In October 12, 2010 news, here is an article about how a local man was arrested in Appleton (another town here in Wisconsin) on a Sex Sting.

Granted, they bumped up a felony class,, but it also shows that it IS a deterrent when it comes to having stricter laws in place to protect our children.

This is exactly why I'm pushing April's Law. Please sign the petitions. Here is the federal April's Law Petition and the state version: April's Law Wisconsin.

It would seem that with all of these shows like "How To Catch a Predator" and Perverted Justice making headlines to bring about the stats that yes, there are nasty people out there who prey on children. Then there are the Internet Watchdogs, who are various child advocacy groups as well as individuals who are out there in various capacities to help look over our children. Some will research for sex predators who are online. Others will push the info & stats. Different ones will put out info on where these people live. Even others will be available when the kids need to talk or report abuse. Then YVI is here to help push the laws to make stricter enforcements on child abusers. Different people/organizations take a different aspect of helping to make the neighborhoods, including the internet, a safer place for all of us to be. And it's all for the children.

Please consider helping in some way, shape or form, even if it's just to add your name to the petition, or pass it around to your friends. Thank you for your time and efforts.
